I'd shoot NYU an email asking for a waiver. I signed up for CRS late in August (wish I had done so earlier) so I feel your pain about missing out on some of the CRS waivers. You've got nothing to lose and $80 to gain. Also, have you checked to see if you got the NYU "hidden" waiver? If you preview your application as if you were going to submit it, you can see if they've waived your fee on the payment selection/certification page. Best of luck to you in your cycle, numbers twin!
