Diesel (2022-2023)

Will commission into the USAF in May. Selected for Educational Delay Law Program.

Held multiple leadership positions in AFROTC, most recently as the Cadet Wing Vice Commander.

Member of Honors Program Student Board, Student Judicial Board, and Student Court.

Spent last summer in India on a cultural immersion program. It was hot.

Took a fiction writing seminar with author Tim O'Brien. Several original works published in University and regional publications.

Scholarship amounts are per year.

While I was away from LSN, got waitlisted at IU-B, In at Oregon, got some money from IU-Indy, and rounded out my cycle by getting shot down by U-Dub.

2 Feb 2009: Big white envelope from Lewis and Clark bearing glad tidings of great joy! 15K/year contingent on a 2.95 GPA. One of the most comparatively generous offers yet. This is tempting.

26 Jan 2009: Status checker at Seattle says admitted, dated on 20 Jan. The Diesel remains undefeated! Too bad my #1 choice is being stubborn. Come on, Indiana, we're a perfect match...

25 Jan 2009: Nebraska breaks the one-month drought with an acceptance. Nice out-of-state nullifying scholarship contingent on being in the top third of the class.

29 Dec 2008: In at KU via phone call.

16 Dec 2008: Call from Michigan State offering a full tuition scholarship! This is sweet news, even if the GPA requirement is 3.6... I have bumped them up in my rankings accordingly. Also received acceptance packet from SLU, with nomination for the 1843 Scholarship/

15 Dec 2008: Accepted at Iowa via e-mail. Packet to arrive later by mail.

12 Dec 2008: In at Michigan State via e-mail. Admissions packet to be mailed Monday, 15 Dec.

26 Nov 2008: In at Denver! 21K/year scholarship with 3.0 GPA requirement.

25 Nov 2008: Complete at KU. U-Dub finally requested my LSDAS report. Sigh of relief on that one.

24 Nov 2008: Iowa status check e-mail. Admission decision shown as "in progress."

20 Nov 2008: Status checker at SLU went straight to "Under Review." According to their website, the first round of decisions begins at the beginning of December, so hopefully the next couple weeks bring good news.

---Completion email from Lewis and Clark just after I finished my update. Looks like everything is starting to come together nicely.

18 Nov 2008: Complete at Denver and UVA. So it begins. I would assume I am complete at Quinnipiac as well, but I have heard nothing from them yet.
