I worked part time throughout all four years of undergrad, so I didn't have much time for extracurriculars. I did participate in my school's inner city tutoring program for two years, though, where I went to an inner city elementary school to help out in 4th and 5th grade classrooms.

I currently volunteer at a veterinary adoption center on weekends, and I am also a member of my school's chapter of the Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society.

Additional info & updates

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION IS PER YEAR!

~~~
01/21 - Accepted via e-mail by UNH law. Expected, but still awesome since it was the first school to hear back from!
01/24 - Got paper letter from UNH with $20,000 merit scholarship, renewable each year if I maintain a 3.2, and $4,000 each year for being a NH resident ($72,000 for all three years).
01/24 - Accepted via e-mail at Brooklyn! One of my top choices, so I'm very excited! Crossing my fingers for a scholarship.
01/25 - Accepted via e-mail at Hofstra. Three for three so far. :)
01/28 - Accepted via e-mail at Northeastern!! :D Going to have a hard time choosing between this and Brooklyn - will probably depend on $$$.
01/31- Got St. John's acceptance letter in the mail, plus a $30,000/year scholarship, renewable in full if I stay in the top 40% of the class. :D
01/31 - Received paper letter from Northeastern with a $8,500/year scholarship... which was what I was expecting, judging by what other people on here have been getting. Still something though!
02/04 - Got accepted to Syracuse! $20,000/yr scholly provided I keep above a 2.8. They also sent me a car sticker AND a SU Law t-shirt with the letter! Very cute. haha
02/05 - Got acceptance package from Hostra with a $35,000/yr scholarship, renewable if I stay in the top 40% of the class. Sweet deal. :D
02/09 - In via status checker at Albany today. Only four more to hear from!
02/14 - Accepted by e-mail at Denver!
02/14 - Got Albany's paper letter today with a $25,000 per year scholarship.
02/15 - Waitlisted at Cardozo today via e-mail... It's what I was expecting, and since it wasn't my top choice, I will probably be withdrawing my app.
02/25 - Got into UConn's full time day program via e-mail today, very happy about that. :D Good news to hear after not receiving any scholarship from Denver.
03/10 - Accepted at Temple via e-mail this morning. Last one!
03/15 - Visited UConn, Hofstra, St. John's, and Brooklyn. LOVED UConn and St. John's, and loved Brooklyn, but Hofstra is really not for me. AT ALL. So I'll definitely be withdrawing, because the extra $5k they gave me is not enough to make me pick a school I hate the feel of over St. John's, which I really loved.
03/22 - I didn't get $$$ from Brooklyn, which was surprising (I didn't expect much, but something would have been nice). And I only got $10,000k/year from UConn. On the bright side, that makes my decision much easier - I'm now deciding between UConn and St. John's.
03/24 - Negotiated St. John's into increasing my scholarship to $40,000 a year with the same top 40% stipulation. :)
03/28 - Officially settled on UConn. :D
Hey Emily, you heard back from UNH pretty quick. Was your application considered "complete" for a while? I submitted mine about a week ago, and it went straight from "incomplete" to "under review"..im not sure if that means ill be hearing back shortly
Hey could you maybe email me about how you went about negotiating a higher scholarship from a school like St. Johns? Thank you
