Extra Curricular Information

I graduated in May of 2008.

During school I was the president and head instructor of my own martial arts club on campus and an assistant instructor at our main school located in South Minneapolis. I still remain active in both capacities, though I bear no official title at the university club since graduation.

I worked as a file clerk from 10/04 to 1/06, then as a "legal assistant" (read paralegal) at the same firm until 5/08. At that time I transitioned to full time employment with the firm and remain in their employ at this present time.

LOR's from the attorney I work under (pretty good) and a constitutional law professor (nothing special).

Took me a couple semesters to get my head screwed on straight, but the subsequent difference has been as distinct as night and day.

Additional info & updates

Scholarship info:
Depaul/American - over 3 years
Temple - one year, not renewable.

Pretty quick acceptances from DePaul, Temple, and American.

Fordham still remains my first choice, though I've gone almost eight weeks without so much as a peep from their admissions office. I fear the worst : (

GOOD LUCK to all applicants!

3/5/09: Waitlisted at Fordham. Damn.

3/25/09: Sent waitlist form back to Fordham. Willing to consider either FT or PT.

4/6/09: Visited American today.

4/6/09: Waitlisted at WUSTL. Staying on the list. I will get into a decent school yet...

5/8/09: Withdrawn from Dozo waitlist, rejected at BC. Accepted at Loyola, but plan on withdrawing.

Looks like its American unless Fordham or WashU pan out.

*sighs*

Thanks for the info on Fordham... so frustrating about their waitlist though. Are you going to stay on the waitlist but put down a deposit elsewhere? I went complete at BC mid January but I had WUSTL complete by mid November so I really don't know what's taking so long but it's definitely been a sloooow cycle!

it took around 6-8 weeks to hear from Cardozo so wasn't too long. when did you go complete there?
