Additional info & updates

8/19/2011: For any splitters out there who are looking at every possible data point to see where they can get in (I know I spent hours doing this), I wanted to post this brief update. I had a very successful 1L year, GW has been fantastic, and I strongly urge you all to apply here. Be proactive, work hard, hustle law school ad-comms everywhere and you'll be fine! Good luck to all!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7/8/2010: Decided to put up my GPA for the world to see, in case it offers some guidance for future splitters.

5/13/2010: ACCEPTED at GW off of the wait list. I will be putting down a seat deposit immediately, withdrawing from W&L and all other waitlists, and thus ending my law school cycle.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4/04/2010: My cycle is over for now. In the end, I got two acceptances, four wait lists and seven rejections. Not surprising, given that I was reaching at most places & applied late. I will be putting down a seat deposit at W&L and then riding out the GW waitlist. I have been very proactive at GW, so I am optimistic about my chances on the waitlist. I'll update with waitlist results at the end of the summer.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3/31/2010: Waitlisted at WUSTL via e-mail. I'll hang out on this one for a while, anyway.

3/27/2010: Rejected at BU via small white envelope. W&L, here I come... (while I ride out the GW waitlist)

3/25/2010: Rejected at BC via small white envelope. Pretty disappointed in this one -- I knew it was a longshot, but I thought maybe my LSAT would carry me through. Lexington is looking more and more likely... thank god W&L saw something in me.

3/24/2010: Rejected at Fordham via status checker, which read: "unfortunately, you have been denied." I literally laughed out loud when I saw that. I was never going to go to Fordham (I hate NY) so it's all good.

3/19/2010: Waitlisted at W&M via e-mail. Not sure if I will stay on this one given how many other people are on this wait list.

3/15/2010: Waitlisted at Northeastern via small white envelope. I will be withdrawing tomorrow, since I'd take W&L over Northeastern anyway.

3/8/2010: Waitlisted at GW via small white envelope.

3/3/2010: In at Suffolk via large packet. I'd probably take W&L before Suffolk, but it's still nice to have a Boston option (since that's where I plan to end up).

2/23/2010: Literally two minutes after the Georgetown rejection, I get another e-mail rejection from UVA. Bad day, ha! Again, no surprise.

2/23/2010: Dinged at Georgetown via e-mail. No surprise there. Don't really mind. Filling out ED form for UVA right now.

2/21/2010: I'm going to law school! Accepted by W&L via a very sinister small white envelope. Good to know I am going somewhere and that I am acceptable, but I'm not so sure how likely it is that I'll be spending three years in Lexington, VA.

2/08/2010: Dinged at American. Very worrisome. Hopefully some good news will come my way one of these days.

2/04/2010: Dinged at George Mason. I don't really care since I wouldn't have gone anyway, but not a happy sign of things to come.

2/03/2010: George Mason status checker says to expect a decision letter in two to four weeks. Basically, I'm either going to get an acceptance call tomorrow, or a WL/Reject letter in a few weeks. Also, American made their decision on 2/01, but still no mail from them.

1/27/2010: All apps are now complete with the exception of Fordham, which curiously hasn't even contacted me to say that my app has been received. So be it.

1/15/2010: All applications submitted. Out of my hands now... may the Law School Gods look kindly upon me.
