I guess I might as well put in some information here so I can be cool like everyone else.

I got a phone call from Berkeley at around 5-6PM EST notifying me of my acceptance, packet arrived in early January.

NYU was in the standard manila envelope.

Washington/Lee sent two envelopes, one with acceptance and notification to apply for Honors Scholarship, and the second was to remind me about above scholarship.

Michigan sent me the standard email, the... "thanks for applying so early and being so patient, we are unable to make a decision on your application at this time, we've found much to admire, but are gonna review it again, kthnx."

And so the waiting game continues....

1/25/06 - Updated transcript received by LSAC which was a 4.0 for the fall semester. Didn't do much for my cumulative GPA, but maybe it will sway some decisions, even though I'm feeling that UVa is not loving me as much as I love them.

2/2/06 - Come back from San Diego to have two very thin envelopes in my mailbox. One, the rejection letter from Yale. No big surprise there. Two, a letter from Chicago telling me that I have been put in the "hold" category, to send them an additional transcript and essay. The transcript had already been sent, and we will see about the essay.

On a side note, Washington/Lee sent me a letter with a nice handwritten note about my personal statement. At least one of the schools liked it ;).

2/9/06 - UNC offers Chancellor's Scholarship, 12.5k/year.

2/27/06 - Honors Scholarship from Washington/Lee, 25k/year renewable with 3.0 GPA.

3/2/06 - Michigan email notifying me of waitlisting.

why, hello, virtual numbers twin. based on my acceptances, you should hear from duke soon...now if only i could hear from berkeley soon as well...
