Hi! This is PrincessLaw! I am 27 years old and I plan on applying to law school in 2 years, if not less. My dream is to go to FSU but with my current low LSAC GPA, 2.23, I do not know if that will be possible.
By the way, even though I currently have a 2.23 GPA my school GPA is 3.16.
I have re-taken LOTS of courses and I am consistently getting at least a 3.5 average every semester. So hopefully this will bring my GPA up in the next year and a half.
The reason my GPA is sooo low is because of LOTS of medical problems including 5 abdominal surgeries, and 4 chronic illnesses that has put me on Social Security.
Since I am finally getting some relief from treatment I figured it was time to finish my Bachelor's degree and take a look at law schools.
I am open to ANY suggestions anyone has on how to overcome this low gpa so I can go to FSU. Of course I plan on taking the LSAT and I figured getting at least a 167 I would at least be waitlisted so I need some tips on how to accomplish that as well.
Thanks for reading!
2/2/2011- I am LOVING this website and the positive comment I have received, thanks Blovely! So does anyone know the time frame of taking your first LSAT test? I also still need some study advice.

Well, I haven't sent my transcripts, as of yet, but I calculated them myself based on the rules of LSDAS. Then I input them into a website formula just to make sure I was right and they were pretty close (around - 0.04) so I used the lowest one.
Hey looks like we are the same boat!! I am also from Tampa, trying to overcome a low gpa, wanting to go to FSU for Fall 2012!!! I've started writing addendums in order to explain the gpa. Anyways, there are lots of ppl on this site who overcame the odds. I pray that I am one of them!! Goodluck on your cycle!!
