Additional info & updates

I had a fee waiver for every school I applied to. Some were offered and some I had to fill out applications for. Some of the schools just gave me one when I requested it. It never hurts to ask, and it saves A LOT of money.

Let the waiting begin...

02/17/10 : First School! Accepted to U of Wyoming via e-mail.

02/20/10 : Accepted to Faulkner-Jones via snail mail.

02/22/10 : Accepted to Ohio Northern via snail mail. Also receive a rad ONU drink holder!

02/26/10: Accepted to MSU via phone call from the
Admissions Director!

03/02/10: Accepted to Samford-Cumberland via snail mail. This school is about 3 miles away.

03/08/10: Received a letter from Faulkner-Jones offering me 75% tuition forgiveness. Nice! Bring on the scholarship offers!

03/11/10: Accepted to U of Louisville via snail mail with a personal note from the Admissions Director. Makes me feel kinda special, haha.

03/12/10: Regular envelope with one letter came in the mail today from U of Tennessee.
First rejection... I really thought I would at least be waitlisted if not admitted... It made me feel like I did when I first found out what my LSAT score was... unfortunately the score is what some schools (UT) focus on, despite an otherwise outstanding application. I went from a high yesterday to low today. but at least I can offically rule out that school. I'll get over it.

03/17/10: Received a call from a dean of admissions at ONU informing me that I was receiving a Barrister's Scholarship. Awesome!

03/19/10: Notified via e-mail from Wyoming that I was offered a $5,000 scholarship. Doesn't sound like much compared to the others, but Wyoming's tuition is much lower than most other schools. I am excited about this one too! I have family out there and a position with the University just opened up that my wife is very qualified for! God is great!

I totally agree! If the schools just looked at us blindly instead of attempting to meet some stupid quota, we might be able to get into better schools! Anyway, congrats on your acceptances so far and good luck to you!!

Thanks,,,

Btw, I have no reason to lie. If I wanted to post false information on my profile, I would have of put, ACCEPTED to Yale with a full scholarship.
