I applied originally with little intention of going there. As time progressed and I learned more about the school, I started to look more serioiusly. I should be able to find a job in DC if I go there, which very well may be what I want to do. Initially, I thought I would go to GMU instead. I visited Mason and did not care for it. I visited WUSTL and really liked it. The students are more laid back and they seem more capable than those at Mason, which is an environment I would prefer to be in. I know little about Tulane except for the rampant rumor that it is probably underrated. I can't help with the comparison. I would most likely go to W&L and W&M over WUSTL if I get in from the waiting list due to their locations. At this point, I am almost hoping that I do not have the option. If you have any doubts visit WUSTL. I spoke with a woman in the admissions department and was quite impressed. Let me know how everything turns out.
I am just curious, because you are like me. I am going to check it out this weekend. ND has made me feel more wanted in the past week than BC has in the past month. I am worried about the conservative-ness of the school (I am a liberal interested in environmental law), but we will see....

I hope you have better luck with G'town and GW than I did (but I think they may be overrated anyways). Congrats on Wash U-- go visit-- it really is a fantastic school.
