I will use this section to update everyone about my cycle.
4/2/10
Dinged at Chicago, which is fine by me. I only applied because of the fee waiver (plus, Obama doesn't teach there anymore). I'm really excited about Vanderbilt, and I can't wait to visit next week for their ASD.
3/20/10
I can log into the Emory site, so I'm assuming that I'm accepted.
03/18/10
I think I may have been accepted by Emory. I got an email inviting me to their ASD, so I'm guessing this means good news.
03/08/10
Ding from Michigan. This one actually hurt...
03/07/10
Yet another waitlist...this one from Duke.
03/05/10
Ding from H. No shock there, so I feel fine about it. I had a feeling it was coming.
Just as I was writing this I got an email from BU telling me that I'd been put on their wl. Boston schools do not like me today, haha. No tears, though. I'd never choose BU over Vandy. Withdrawing ASAP.
03/01/2010
$81,000 Chancellor's Scholarship from Vandy!!! I'm extremely happy about this! I will definitely be attending one of their ASWs.
Finally complete at Cornell. The date still says January 5, so I'm just going to assume I became complete today.
02/12/10
I'm pretty impressed with Emory. This is the first school to mark my application as complete on the same day that they received it.
02/11/10
Sent a last minute application to Emory today. I got a email from them saying that they were writing to re-send me the fee waiver code. The thing is, I never got a first email. Oh well, I'm happy to have the waiver now, though.
02/08/10
Finally complete at Michigan! Oh, and I received an email from UVA telling me that I'd been waitlisted. No shock there. I only applied because of the fee waiver, so no tears were shed today.
02/03/10
Accepted to Vandy today! The package was huge.
02/01/10
I just checked my Vandy status, and it said that a decision was mailed on the 29th. Here's to hoping that the letter comes today and contains good news.
01/06/10
I just discovered Michigan and NYU hidden fee waivers! Praise the Lord!
12/15/09
I'm finally done with finals, and I manged to pull a 4.0 this semester. I'm so happy about being able to raise my GPA. If only I could know my December score.
12/7/09
So I re-took the LSAT this past weekend. I pray I did a good 10 points (at least) better than my last score. Now I've got to focus on killing my finals so that my gpa will increase by .03 by the time that I apply. Oh, I received invitations to apply from Harvard and Stanford a while back. I'm not getting my hopes up, though, until I get that shiny, new and improved score.
11/14/09
Just discovered a package from Cornell containing a fee waiver. I don't know how I went weeks without noticing it.
10/28/09
Alabama fee waiver
10/27/09
Chicago and BU fee waivers
10/21/09
Merit fee waivers from UVA and Vandy
10/19/09
Shockingly, I received a merit fee waiver from Duke! I was not expecting this at all.
10/16/09
Just signed up for the December LSAT. Things definitely didn't go well. My score was 10 points below my PT average...not good at all. I'm thinking about taking a class this time. Has anyone taken the PowerScore virtual course? I'm really thinking about giving it a try.
9/26/09
Took LSAT today...I really don't know what to think about it.
I really wish that I'd done more grouping games closer to the test date. Oh well, I'll just have to hope for the best. Perhaps these next three weeks will fly by. Now it's time to finish up my PS and any additional essays.
9/18/09
One week until the LSAT!!! This month has gone by too quickly.
Time to start sending up those extra prayers...
8/14/09
I am currently studying for the September LSAT. I can't wait until I can get this test over with. Logical Reasoning hates me at the moment, so I'm going through the LRB a second time along with doing drills from Kaplan Mastery. I'm also doing various LR sections from tests. I pray that this works because I really want to score in the 170s, although I'm aiming for a 180 (yes, I know this is rare, but why not aim for the highest score? There's more room for error that way). I am not looking forward to juggling studying for the LSAT, school, and work...
I hope you aced that LSAT this past weekend :) Best of luck!!!
