Additional info & updates

Very low grades at first large public university (3 semesters) brought down my GPA to a 2.93 but almost perfect grades at my degree granting institution (5 semesters) will hopefully be enough to convince admissions of my academic worth!

3/23: STCL - called yesterday to see the status of my application. They asked if I'd ever had an MIP or DUI (I have) and said in that case the application goes directly to committee. I suppose that makes sense. Today I received an email saying my application was "in review" and I could expect to have a decision sometime between now and April 1st. Status Checker still lists as "Application Complete"

3/30: STCL - Accepted via Status Checker then email.

4/5: UH - Status checker says "File in Review". Looking at past years it looks like it takes UH a long time to render a decision and if you are wait listed as long as July. Anybody have any experience with this?

4/6: STCL - Got an email saying I'd been awarded a $9,200/year Dean's Merit Scholarship!
