Have not updated this since starting law school.

After getting an extremely late high LSAT score (yay COVID) I decided to widen my net to out of state schools.
Here's what I can remember offhand.

90% tuition offer from IU Maurer
100% + 1k stipend Penn State Dickinson
Slightly below 90% for University of Richmond and University of Nebraska.

I decided on IU Maurer. The state of Indiana seems to have decent career opportunities & the NALP for Maurer looks amazing the last few years. Indiana also has pockets of areas that seem similar to my small hometown. I can't say the same about Pennsylvania.

One bizarre thing happened. I had my heart set on UF.
While I was sitting in orientation at Maurer, virtually.
I got a deferred acceptance offer. which I'd never heard of (for NEXT year - 75% scholarship) I'd have to withdraw, obviously, and would NOT be able to apply to any other schools in the new cycle. Essentially it would be a binding agreement to attend.

All things considered, I decided to stay with Maurer. There really is a great team-based environment here. When I bombed a cold call, I had 3-4 classmates texting me after class asking if I was ok. I'm not sure that would happen at other schools, where competition is much greater. Maurer also seems to have a great career services office that works with you from orientation forward.
