Additional info & updates

So got my first "Decision Rendered" update from W&M.

In the Mailings section it then said "CONGRATULATIONS!" So I guess I'm in? Now I just wait for them to send the Admit package.

1/8/10
Got the Accept Packet in the mail from W&M. Inside was a scholarship for $10K a year as long as I maintain a C average. Totally wasn't expecting that, so really happy.

1/15/10
Checked my Loyola Status Checker and it says Decision Rendered and Mailed. I should get that any day I guess!

1/20/10
Got the call this morning from Yeshiva. GREAT scholarship at $38K a year. Not sure yet if its contingent on GPA as I only got a voicemail from the admissions office. Should get my admit packet soon.
Super happy to be in a school in NYC!

1/21/2010
In at Loyola LA! 84K to be distributed over 3 years. Am likely not going, especially since the Yeshiva offer is so much better, but still nice to be in.

1/22/2010
Waitlisted at GW. Not surprised since people have been saying GW is hardcore playing the numbers game this year. However, have a feeling they didn't even look at my app which is annoying. Oh well, I'll send in a LOCI and an updated resume and see what happens.

1/25/2010
In at Temple. Nice to have options, waiting for scholarship info in the mail.

1/29/2010
Waitlisted at U Minnesota. Sort of surprised since they sent me a fee waiver, but what can you do. Will probably withdraw in the near future.

2/8/2010
Rejected at UCLA. Not really surprised. But I could have gone for a WL!

2/17/2010
Rejected at Northwestern and Columbia. Not surprised at all about Columbia, but thought I might get a WL at Northwestern since I had a pretty good interview / supplemental essay. Oh well.

2/18/2010
Rejected at Berkeley. Was under review for months with no faculty review so was not shocked. Looks like my cycle is slowing down!

2/19/2010
And rejected at Georgetown. Geez! Am I going to get any more good news?

3/2/2010
Waitlisted at BU. Their note was really nice, so here's hoping. I'll send in a LOCI and an updated resume. Also decided to apply to BC even though the cycle is winding down. Every thing else, except for SC is under review. Almost time to make a decision!

3/5/2010
ACCEPTED at Fordham! Yes!

3/19/2010
Shockingly rejected at Stanford. (sarcastic!) My dad made me apply, so not too bumbed.
Am hopeful for a Fordham merit scholarship as that would probably seal the deal for me.

3/22/2010
Sent off a LOCI to BU. Am going to call Fordham about merit aid as still no mention (so probably didn't get any).

Am preparing to withdraw from a bunch of places later today.

4/12/2010
Fordham deposit submitted! NYC baby!

Good luck with Boston University, we have very similar numbers and we applied at the same time, here's hoping we both get in heh.

Hey so big grats on your Fordham acceptance. I'm definitely excited about that school. But I am planning to stick around on the waitlist on BU, going to get off a LOCI this week. According to TLS's profile they do appreciate somewhat frequent updates from waitlisters, not sure how deep they're going to go on their list but one would hope we're near the top of the list due to our numbers...
