Submitted an informal Why Duke email to the admissions office in requesting a fee waiver and PT. They were very amenable. Re-drafted a more formal essay for my application.
10/08- Accepted
12/? - Nominated for the Mordecai Scholarship
2/? - Withdrew from the Mordecai Scholarship process

11/18- Accepted to Georgetown! Nice letter from the Dean.
??- Offered to apply for merit aid, which required extra essays. Declined.

11/22- Accepted to Michigan!
