8/17/2013, Took my first practice LSAT and got a 137. I will need to put it into gear to see the 160 I hope to receive in December.
10/10/2013, I am taking a LSAT preparation course and scored a 145. I am pleased with the progress, though I understand I will need to make at least a 10 point jump come December.
10/31/2013, I attended the law school fair at Brigham Young University. This was a GREAT experience, and opportunity to learn more about law schools I have not considered. Also I was able to gather over $1,000 in application fee waivers!
11/11/2013, The LSAT is quickly approaching! I am currently studying a hour or more everyday for the LSAT. I feel I have a better handle on staying calm and not worrying about the time constraint. I am planning to apply to about 20 schools (and I will not have to pay for even one application!)
12/02/2013, I take the LSAT in 3 days. I am somewhat disheartened that I have only scored in the upper 140's not even making 150. I am light years away from the 160 I was originally hoping for. However I am still committed to take the test as planned, and to submit my applications regardless of the score.
12/06/2013, Scored a 150 on my practice LSAT. I am content with it. I have only improved with every exam.
12/07/2013, I took the LSAT today and I feel OK about it; I dont think I did great or terrible. If I receive a 150 or above I will be ecstatic. I feel anything above a 145 will get me into at least one school. However if I was to receive less than a 145 I would feel disheartened but still apply. If I receive anything less than a 140 there is a good chance I will reconsider law school altogether.
1/02, Looks like I will be rolling the dice with a 147. I was really hoping to be at or over 150, but such is life. I will apply this cycle and see what happens.
1/22, I have submitted 5 applications: University of Wyoming, Creighton, University of Idaho, Michigan State, and Washington University in St. Louis. I hope to send out more later this week.
1/28/2014, I received a phone call from University of Idaho today saying I was accepted, not scholarship money though, however it feels great to know I am going to law school in the fall!
1/29, Received an email from the Dean of Admissions at Wyoming, he was going to cal me but didn't have my number on him. Admission with $3,000 a year conditional 2.0 GPA scholarship. I really dig the international law opportunities available there.
1/31, Checked the online status checker for Creighton and it looks like I made the cut.
2/9 Waitlisted at Texas Tech, not so torn up about this one, didnt really dig living in Lubbock.
2/11, Michigan State called saying I am in with a 15,000 one year scholarship.
2/22, I will be attending Michigan State, though it is one of the more expensive options I have, it is the place where I will receive the best training in International Law. I have withdrawn all of my other applications (except Syracuse because I am curious of what their offer would be). I plan to pay my seat fee in April.
2/23, received a letter from Wyoming saying they upped my scholarship to 5000 per year, too bad I already withdrew my application.
