Additional info & updates

3/13 - email from Indiana explaining that I'm accepted and more info will be mailed to me. not a likely destination, but great to finally hear from someone.

3/16 - small white USPS envelope from Indiana with scholarship info and a few letters. 8,500 renewable.

3/18 - large white envelope from Emory with the acceptance and a ton of ugly fliers. no money - sucks for them. also, small white envelope from UIUC with temp-ding. thanks!

i am leaning towards Emory at this point, barring an acceptance from WashU or a great package from Pepp.

3/21 - called depaul - they forgot to request my LSDAS report. what a quality institution!

3/27 - drought ended with pepperdine acceptance in business sized creme colored envelope. strangely, no scholarship? wow, no help from jesus on that one.

3/28 - waskington still hasnt requested my LSDAS report.

3/29 - update: finally got through to washington and had them order my report (why this wasnt done two weeks ago, i dont know). i am not withdrawing from anywhere quite yet as its still up in the air a little.

3/30 - acceptance from wayne in small beige envelope. they said that scholarship info (if applicable) would be forthcoming.

4/02 - withdrew from pepperdine via email. withdrew from case via email following pointless letter from admissions office.

4/06 - large white envelope from SLU with acceptance and scholarship. 45K guaranteed over 6 semesters. tempting.

4/07 - viewbook from wayne with letter from wu. apparently, i need to check for my scholarship info online.

washington decided to send my file to committee today, after my fifth conversation with admissions personnel. frustrating.

4/10 - withdrawing from wayne following phone call to dean. i was told i am not being considered for scholarships at this time. phew, makes the decision to go out of state a lot easier.

10 minutes later - he called me back on my cell phone and told me that he will be offering me a scholarship after all, with details to come friday or monday. i will wait for the offer.

4/12 - acceptance email from washington! wow.

4/14 - will be withdrawing from wayne state, indiana, saint louis, and depaul today via email. i am paying a seat deposit at washington and emory.

5/10 - tshirt and letter from depaul with 45k. too late!

barring a catastrophe, i will be attending washington university next year.

UPDATE

08/22 Admissions personnel decided that i was somehow deserving of 36K over 6 semesters. I love this school.
