Additional info & updates

11-30-10 : Very friendly admissions rep called to tell me I've been accepted to Alabama and offered 24k per year scholarship. Even offered to cover my travel for an open house in January. Southern hospitality is a great way to start my cycle!

12-6-10 : Phone call from George Mason, acceptance letter came in the mail the next day.

12-15-10 :In at Minnesota via phone call. Great to break the T-25

12-17-10 :In at Vermont via email.

12-20-10 $30k per year scholly from VLS included in admissions packet.

12-22-10 Accepted to GW via email. Didn't expect to hear from them till after the new year, so... excellent!

12-24-10 $20k per year offered in MN admissions packet.

1-11-11 Dinged by Georgetown. Not unexpected but still a little disappointing.

1-14-11 Accepted to Colorado via snail mail.

1-29-11 Application denied at Vanderbilt via snail mail.

2-4-11 After more than two months under review, I finally broke down and sent an inquiry to KU. They responded quickly and apologized for the delay and told me I would hear something soon. Just for kicks I took a peek at status checker a few hours later, and was accepted! Coincidence??

2-09-11 - Accepted to DU via email.

3-07-11 - CU offered $20k (12,4,4) via snail mail.

3-11-11 - Accepted to American via email.

3-14-11 - $17.5k (12.5, 5) Scholarship letter in mail from KU.

3-15-11 - Waitlisted at William & Mary via email, withdrew immediately.

3-22-11 - Notified via email of selection as Chancellor's Scholar at DU, game changer for sure.

4-14-11 - I am accepting the full ride to DU. In another life both Vermont and CU-Boulder would have been great, and it was hard to withdraw my applications. But Denver really impressed me when I visited, the price can't be beat, and personally it offers the best fit for my family and career. I am truly grateful for a great cycle and an opportuntiy I'm excited about!

Congratulations on DU! That is my school of choice and I am also hoping to be chosen for the Chancellor's full ride. Good luck with everything!
