Additional info & updates

12/10 - Found out from online status check that I was waitlisted at Fordham - felt alright for about a minute, then read on the internets that it's impossible to get off the waitlist - i am no longer alright

12/11 - Received an email from Catholic offering admission - little consolation after previous letdown, but it's still nice to feel wanted - received an email on the 13th with information on $14,000 scholarship - renewable each year if I stay in the top 25%

12/18 - Postmark for rejection from NYU - it was my alma mater, so I figured it was worth a shot - not a huge surprise

01/06 - Status at Georgetown changed to "decision" - the wait begins - this is where my father went to law school, but I don't think my legacy status is enough to overshadow my numbers - I still have hope

01/07 Promply received my rejection from Georgetown in the mail...

01/12 Small white envelope from Boston College with regrets

01/20 Small white envelope with Cardozo waitlist notification

01/22 E-mail rejection from Northwestern

01/26 Small white envelope with GW rejection

01/28 Decided to start pursuing waitlist schools - Fordham is definitely my top choice - called both Fordham and Cardozo and confirmed that they accept additional materials, like LOR's and statements, so I set up a third LOR to be sent directly to both schools - I also plan on sending a letter of continued interest to Fordham that confirms that they are at the top of my list and I would accept a spot if one were offered.

02/16 AAAHHH!!! checked my status at Duke and found that they had made a decision on 2/13 - I deduced from the graphs that Duke hasn't rejected anyone...yet...but then I checked again and it appears that I am most likely part of the privileged first wave

02/17 As expected, received rejection from Duke in small white envelope

02/26 Got totally expected rejection from Columbia

03/21 Waitlist letter from American

03/27 Rejection letter from Washington

04/21 General update - I went in for a scholarship interview at Catholic and they gave me 3,500 more a year - I have to stay in the top 25% of the class to keep it in years 2 and 3. I switched over to being considered for both the full time and part time programs at Fordham - I am still considering if that is something I want to do for Cardozo and American - I saw a leaked version of the new US News rankings and Catholic has dropped to 94, while Cardozo has jumped up to 49 - also, Fordham dropped a bit to 30 - i'm really conflicted over Catholic...

08/11 The orientation for Catholic starts tomorrow and I haven't heard a thing from the three schools I am waitlisted at. I don't want to go into orientation still thinking that one of the other schools might drop me a line, so I withdrew from all of them this afternoon. Catholic is me and I am Catholic (the school, not the religion)

What's up! Similar numbers here. Good luck with Fordham, that's my top choice.

So what's the deal with all of these rejections? You went to a top undergrad school and had a comparable GPA and LSAT of others who were admitted. In addition, you have been out of schol long enough to have some work experience which NorthWestern loves. What's the back story on all of this?
