Additional info & updates

10/26/09 - Have not yet applied to any schools. I'm not sure if I should take the LSAT again, but I am about 80% sure I won't. Also not sure how many schools I should apply to. I've seen some people with 20 but that feels like too many.

12/23/09 - Applied to all schools before winter break - except Boston College and Rutgers.

1/12/10 - Have received emails from most schools indicating that my application is complete. Waiting for responses.

2/3/10 - Waitlist UCLA. Great school, but considering it's so far away, not sure how I feel about it.

2/5/10 - In at Boston U by phone call. Mail package came week later saying I'm getting $15,000 per year. NOT BAD.

2/9/10 - Depressing that having one more point on LSAT would have really made a difference. ARR.

2/18/10 - UC Berkeley email saying I have been selected for further consideration. From what I heard, I still have pretty slim chance. Decision should come around March 12.

3/11/10 - Rejected at Berkeley. Saw it coming. I am hoping for Cornell...but am I hoping for too much?

3/19/10 - Rejected Georgetown. Waitlisted at UPenn. Wow it would be great to go there. They say they won't begin review of waitlist until mid-may. The law school application cycle takes forever!

3/23/10 - In at Rutgers. With scholarship would come out to very little loans. Not considering it though because of low ranking.

4/2/10 - Wait lists are so frustrating! What are my chances of getting off? Probably slim. I REALLY want to go to UPenn - it would be perfect because my boyfriend is going to Princeton.

4/8/10 - YES!! Good news. Got additional (need based) scholarship from BU - total scholly now $75,000! BU is definitely looking like my top choice.

4/9/10 - Checked out Cornell on status checker and found out they have made a decision. Considering I didn't get email, I believe there will be either a wait list or reject letter coming in the mail soon. Tuition there is 51k now so I don't know whether I would decide to go there if I'm accepted anyways.

4/10/10 - Wait list letter for Cornell via mail.

Retake it with me! Our GPAs are too high to waste on a 166. And then we blanket the T14 next cycle! :D

I forgot to update my profile but after I was annoyed with them neglecting to offer a merit scholly I emailed the admissions office saying the only way I could even consider the school was if a scholarship was offered, and a few days later they were willing to give up 20k/yr...Idk whether it was my email that did the trick or they were just really slow at processing scholarships. Anyway, looks like I will prob be at Cardozo-- congrats on BU btw, thats so great!
