Extra Curricular Information

I am chair and manager of multiple diversity, equity, and inclusion programs at work with programs routinely being attended by over 200 people.

Honestly have a hard time listing things since I am so far out of school

Additional info & updates

I have a BA and an MS. Undergrad gpa was not good, but masters gpa is 3.8.

LEGAL GOALS: I want to end up practicing in Minnesota, and right now I am looking at family law, but open to other areas when I actually get into studying. Other places outside of the midwest that I applied to were because they reached out to me, and each one had something that interested me (and lets be honest, sometimes it was just the location).

Well, I got my first message from Mississippi, waitlisted. so yay, thats a great start.

UND was my first yes, which I expected.

Saint Thomas called me and I am very excited, they are very high on my list.

Creighton was an update on their status tracker. Have an interview with them for scholarship. This interview was wild, not bad but not what you'd expect. HMU if you want details.

South Dakota was an email, a lot of fluff and not much information in their email. Obviously just a copy paste....

UMKC emailed saying they want an interview, let's see how that goes, I am usually really bad at them.

Michigan State hit me up and told me to apply, so I did. Not super interested, but maybe they will surprise me.

UMKC was a yes, the interview was really easy, no standard interview, nothing was liner or generic, which made it super easy.

I am a little disappointed that Marquette waitlisted me, they were my number two, and even though I got my number one, I didn't expect that.

Hofstra was pretty aggressive in their admissions recruitment, so I was very surprised I was waitlisted. I emailed and said I am not interested anymore.

Suffolk accepted and 10,000 a year, not enough to get me to consider it.

5-8 Well, I don't think I have updated in a while, so here is some updates.
-MSU got back to me, accepted, and I went to check them out because they gave me a good scholarship. I HATED it. Lansing was dead, they had dozens of tours and they didn't even have the lights on in the building (it was dark), they showed the entire building (its not that big but nice sized), and for some reason they took forever (one hour) to do it (I MOVE SLOW AND I THOUGHT THIS WAS TOO SLOW). The staff were rude, and generally the students I met were way out of touch; an example is one actually advocated that I do not try and do law review OR clinics because they aren't "worth it..." The numbers are great here, but my experience was so bad.

-USoDak keeps contacting me even after I told them no. They want to know why, and won't accept that some place else is better.

-USF asked for an exit survey which I filled out but they don't have a spot for open ended "What reasons did you decide not to come to USF?" Which would have been useful since I would have told them that I know I am not the best candidate but their scholarship is literally laughable for their costs and the costs of the area.

-Literally heard nothing from UArk, and am wondering how long it will be. I think its more curiosity of if they just don't waitlist people and just leave them on read or if the admissions office is that incompetent.

6/8 update
After that post above I got an email from UArk who said they were sorry they hadn't looked at my file yet. Either a lie or sheer incompetence. They said they would get back to me by the end of that week; that was a month ago. Then yesterday, I got the rejection email. So I am guessing I was on the unofficial waitlist, and am too far down to even possibly get in.
-STETSON also got back to me, after I withdrew from the waitlist, and told me I was rejected; a little confused by this too.

NOTE: all scholarships are per year.
