Additional info & updates

September LSAT - 165
February LSAT - 174! :)

1/27/10 - Rejected by Berkeley
1/30/10 - Accepted by Brooklyn
2/3/10 - Accepted by Cardozo
2/16/10 - Rejected by NYU (letter dated 2/5)
2/19/10 - Rejected by Harvard
2/27/10 - Got Feb score, alerted all pending schools
3/1/10 - Contacted NYU and Harvard, asking to reconsider my rejection given new LSAT. NYU agreed. No response from H.
3/3/10 - Sent late app to GW. Its in my neighborhood and if they offer me a scholarship it may be a good option to stay in DC
3/9/10 - WL at UVA
3/10/10 - WL at Chicago, Cardozo scholarship upgraded to full ride
3/11/10 - WL at Fordham, followed up and learned that they did not consider my February LSAT. Reevaluating now...
3/12/10 - Accepted at Northwestern. Accepted at Fordham via e-mail from Dean Brown. Classy!
3/18/10 - Accepted at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. Life confusion ensues.
3/20/10 - Received Fordham financial aid offer
3/26/10 - Accepted at Georgetown via status checker/admitted students website password request.
4/1/10 - Official acceptance letter from Georgetown
4/2/10 - Notification of reserve status at Cornell
4/10/10 - Received reserve letter from Columbia
4/12/10 - Called GW to see what was up. They told me my application is complete and I should hear something within the next 4-6 weeks. geez. I guess my cycle is over.
4/26/10 - WL at GW. Really? I can only assume its because I applied so late.

Decision: sent my deposit to the Kennedy School. No law school next year. Maybe in the future. This has certainly been an educational and nerve wracking experience. I hope my stats will benefit future applicants with similar numbers and aspirations.

I think you should reapply next year...

I feel those rejections, especially from Boalt and NYU, would definitely be acceptances if you apply next year. I feel the only reason you were rejected was because they evaluated your application with the 165. But now you have that amazing 174, you shouldn't sell yourself short. Wait a year and reapply early next cycle. You'll have great options. Good luck!!!

good luck!

since you call it "foreign affairs" i suspect we went to the same college :) your re-take score is fantastic, best of luck to you. if you don't get a school you really want you absolutely will next cycle!
