Additional info & updates

First-generation American, some other interesting other things in my background that are unusual.

11/13/09 - First acceptance/decision either way at UGA!

12/9/09 - 99.9% certain that my Cornell 12/4 DR is a rejection. Just waiting on USPS to deliver the wonderful news. Also, movement at Georgetown from UR 11/11 to UR 12/9. Apparently just missed a big batch of dings. At least that's one good thing!

12/11/09 - Switched GULC app to be PT as well as FT. UVA VSO status still pending--but just went and received a VA driver's license. I wish that would hurry up so that the law school adcom can actually review my file!

12/15/09 - No Decision at Michigan for ED--deferred to regular applicant pool. Waitlisted at GULC.

12/16/09 - Rejected at Penn.

12/22/09 - IN at George Mason! It's nice to have options...esp when I'm a VA resident and it would be $20k per year for tuition (and I live w/ my SO about a mile from the law school, so no COL for me to consider).

1/8/10 - IN at U of Illinois with $30k guaranteed per year! SO EXCITED!!!!!

1/11 - out a Michigan. Long short anyhow, oh well.
1/15 - out at UVA. Also a long shot, but I'm a resident! The sting of rejection isn't that bad for mich and uva since they were reaches, and I have a great option with UIUC on the table. That helps things!

1/20 - In at Arizona! Now just to wait to see if I get any scholly $$ to compete with UIUC. It would be nice to be closer to home and have the nice dry heat. I miss AZ!

1/21 - $25k/year at Arizona....

1/25 - In at WUSTL! It feels great to have cracked the top 20! Now waiting to hear about scholarship $, under consideration for Scholars in Law, also received travel stipend for ASW.
- Waitlisted at GW, oh well.

2/3 - Rejected at UCLA via snail mail last night. It took them long enough, I submitted end of October! You'd think they would have at least WL me, it doesn't take THAT long to decide a rejection. Bah. Only 3 schools left to hear from...

2/8 - Last week I received a tuition equalization scholarship from UGA. However, I am officially WD'ing today. Now just waiting on USC, Vandy, and ASU, although I doubt that any of them will be a major contender in anyway. I hope to hear back with an offer from WUSTL soon too, keeping my fingers crossed! Otherwise, it looks like I'll be a fighting Illini!

2/19 - 20k scholarship the first year at ASU and 15k for the 2nd year. Too little, way too late. Just anxiously awaiting WUSTL's release of scholarships, otherwise, I'm off to UIUC. Also, dinged from Vandy yesterday.

2/25 - Underwhelming offer from WUSTL. 10k per year. Bah.

3/29 - Send out my withdrawls today. WUSTL was a painful one, I didn't want to let go! But, it's done. ::sigh::

What do you have to do to switch the GULC app to be PT as well as FT? I was thinking of doing the same thing... Thanks!

I'm sad to see you're withdrawing from UGA, but that scholarship from Illinois is HUGE!! Congrats!

Can you please withdraw your application from ASU if you do not plan on attending. This will free up some scholarship $ for the rest of us.

Congrats on your acceptances! I wish you the best of luck. If you rule out ASU will you please withdraw? I'm hoping for some scholarship money to free up for me.
