So I am entering week 3 of my powerscore prep class. So far, I think it is great. I took my diagnostic and scored a 146. Although this is a low score, I am happy with it so far because there are clear ways to improve. For example, I did not get to the 4th game. But for the first 3 games I got 14 right and 3 wrong. So i think that it will be my strength, even though I only got 14 right. I also missed an entire passage in the reading comp. The RC i only got 10 right, so i really need to practice that. I got 13 and 14 on the arguments. I do much better untimed with those... The sections I have done untimed, I would easily get 20 just about everytime. So right now my biggest enemy is time. I will be in the 160s by August. :) Oh I also got 16 right on the experimental arguments section. Too bad it wasn't one of the scored ones, it would have been my best section.lol

Two weeks late and I improved. raw score of 51 to 56. Unfortuntatley, it only translated into an a 2 point improvement. My Arguments were 13 and 13, the games was 17, and the RC was 13. That's a 3 point improvement for both games and RC. I lost one point in the arguments. my goal for next time is to improve by like 5 on arguments, 3 on RC and 3 on games. That will get into the low to mid 150s, which is a good place to start.

6/5/12
I took a long break but I am back. My first argument was a 14. Time is not an issue as i consistently have a few minutes to spare. I really just need to take my time here and execute. Games were not so great. I got 13 right, but once again, i did not have time to really get to that fourth game. I was rushed on the last RC section as well, and i ended up getting 12 correct. I did really bad and only got an 11 on the 2nd arguments section. i have to go back and see what happened...

Well, of course I didnt plan on having that LSAT. My practice tests were all between 170-175, timed and everything. But my personal statement was about my international experience, as was just about everything in my application. Ive done plenty of internationally related things, and on my app I wrote that I wanted to go to Cornell because of its international programs. I had a diversity statement, and my gpa was pulled down because of my science requirementseverything else on my transcript was a B-A+. Ive also been told Im a very good writer, so that helped when it came to my ps and ds. My recommenders really love me, so that helped.
