Hey! I actually got my decision via status checker and snail mail on the same day (today). Kind of strange actually... the date on the status checker was for today even though they obviously decided a few days ago. Congrats on hearing from Charlotte so quickly! I'm sure you'll hear some more good news :) Any particular reason why you like NESL over Suffolk?

Congrats on Suffolk!! :D I take it that's where you're going to attend this fall?

Decisions...

I've decided to go to Hofstra. The only news that could possibly change my mind is an acceptance from Penn State. Even then it'd be a hard decision because although PSU's ranked 60th and has a great rep, I'd rather live on Long Island than in Carlisle, PA. We'll see! Now that I actually have to make a decision, I just can't justify relocating for Northeastern. Actually, even if by some miracle I get into WUStL or UMN, I still don't think I could justify moving that far away to myself. If it were a school like Chicago or Stanford, sure. Obviously I don't have the credentials for places like that so that's not much of an issue. Congrats again and good luck for that Northeastern waitlist! I'll withdraw this upcoming week.. hopefully others will too and some spots'll open up :)

I think you underperformed this cycle....I'm surprised you didn't apply to any t14's. you have a shot at Cornell, northwestern, and gtown.....it's great you got into law school, but with a 161 and urm, you stand a great shot at those schools, maybe even higher ranked ones....why didn't apply to any t14's

I agree with Bobloblaw2!!!!

You could have definitely pulled a T14.. Unfortunately, lots of people (URM's) have no idea how this whole thing works...if it weren't for a fellow Kaplan student, I would not have had the insight or any ideas about how this whole URM thing works. You need to apply to t-14 schools RIGHT NOW and see if there are any seats left. Worst case, transfer to a Tier 1 next year.

I doubt you could apply to t14's at this point, I'm not sure how old you are but if you're willing to sit out a cycle, you should, and apply first day apps open....you could snag Columbia or nyu....Harvard and Yale would be a stretch, but you never know...you're wasting your lsat if you go to any of these schools, which gives you not a great chance at a law job...

P/T???

If its part-time study that you're interested in then apply to Fordham or Georgetown for heavens sake.... Please don't waste that 161 on a Tier 3-4 school!!!
