Additional info & updates

5-27-09 Got UoC rejection in mail today. Thanks Chicago? Can I just have my money back? Seriously it's almost June...

5-22-09 Apparently U Chicago has made a decision... said it was mailed, so most likely reject... fun.

5-9-09 20k at Columbia is over 3 years (1L 8k, 2L 8k, 3L 4k)

3-26-09: Rejected at Michigan... I thought I would at least have been waitlisted... blah. It's odd that Columbia seems to want me so much and no one else has sent any love...

3-25-09: Apparently I am FINALLY complete at Cornell...

3-24-09: Went to Decision today at Michigan. I guess now the wait begins...

3-13-09: At Decision at Georgetown (haven't checked status checker in awhile, so not sure how long that has been that way). Email from Cardozzo yesterday saying I am complete.

*Edit*

Pref. Waitlist letter from Georgetown in the mail. My cycle doesn't seem to make sense...

3-10-09: Went to ASD at Columbia last week, it was AWESOME!!!!!

Haven't heard back from other law schools... starting to think I will only have a YES from Columbia at the end of this whole thing... but not to shabby:). If I had to have ONLY one... Columbia will do :).

2-26-09: Nothing this week... :/ Getting really nervous again... this process sucks so much!

*EDIT*

COLUMBIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2-20-09: Duke status checker says complete and under review now... ah!!!!

2-19-09: Status checker at Harvard says I am now under review... ahhh scary!!!!

(Harvard never sent me the "complete" email, my status never went to "complete.")

2-18-09: Email from NYU confirming I'm complete. FINALLY. Thanks NYU!

2-18-09: Email from Yale confirming receipt of application. Still nothing from NYU or Cardozo...

Still paranoid that I am not going to get in anywhere.

2-17-09: Email from Columbia confirming complete status...

2-15-09: Still no word from NYU or Cardozo... Getting paranoid that I am not going to get in any where...

*edit* Finished Yale 250, Yale is in finally!

2-13-09: Complete at U Penn...

2-5-09: Invitation from Dean of Admissions at Yale to apply :-D.

Multiple jobs on campus.

3 LORs (all college professors).

Lots of diversity stuff (learning disability, Hispanic, lgbt)...

2 major illnesses during undergrad, with 2 major surgeries (both of which had to be performed during academic terms) wrote about them in my Addendum (GPA increased over time of illness).

Slump in grades Sophomore year because of illnesses (2.5ish two terms). Upward grade trend remaining two years (last term was over a 4.0)

President's/Dean's List 5 semesters.

Over 170 semester units completed.

I thought I was the only one applying to Yale on 2/15. That 250 was something else, wasn't it? I went through 15+ drafts. With my #s, I'm not sure it'll help much. But who knows? Good luck with your cycle.
