Congrats on Loyola and Texas Wesleyan! I never received my password for Loyola so I am in the dark.
I'm pulling for you to get in at St Mary's and South Texas...that would be a perfect run.
I'm hoping I can get into the PT program at UH but that's hope and hope alone (would be a shocker). Also, I'm hoping to get in the PT program at TexWes or South Texas.
TexWes... I want in! Did you apply to the PT or FT program?
Congrats on TexWes and on having your mind made so early so you can plan. Best wishes in the FT program.
If you're planning on practicing in the southern part of the state, St. Mary's is a great school with great prospects. I think the growth will continue for many more years too--Eagle Ford Oil & Gas, great cultural center, business friendly. If I end up having my choice between the two schools, I'll probably go with TexWes b/c I anticipate, in a general sense, the TAMU name will earn a higher return over a long career within the overall state...and not just in a money sense. I'm from Louisiana, moved here directly after undergrad, and went to the only flagship school in the state for undergrad. The state of Texas has two flagship schools really (see PUF fund) and in just a few years, law students with scores like yours, and when it is all said and done hopefully mine, are going to get to say something that I don't think has ever really been said very seriously before, "I graduated from A&M Law School." Yes, I believe folks will truncate and TexWes will be mostly only a word on the diploma...we'll see and I hope I can join you there if you do end up going there.
BTW, congrats on St Mary's too...I'll be happy to go there as well if TexWes and other schools reject me.
Congrats on OKC acceptance and $$. Do you have a preference for any TX schools on your list?
