Additional info & updates

LSN is a great tool that's helped me quite a bit over the course of two cycles, so I wanted to give back a little.

Updates:
1/11/12 - Complete at Chapman via status checker.

1/12/12 - In review at Southwestern only a week after submitting. Hoping for a quick turnaround.

1/19/12 - Received an e-mail from USD indicating that my application was in review but the admissions committe wanted some additional information. I thought this was encouraging since they didn't just throw my file in the ding bin right away.

1/20/12 - Complete at LLS per the status checker. Now it's really just a waiting game.

1/24/12 - In Review at Chapman.

2/13/12 - Decided to switch my app. to FT at Southwestern. Interviewed for SCALE and thought it was a great program, but the early start date wouldn't work for me.

Still nothing from anyone else. The waiting makes one feel a little detached from the process.

2/24/12 - Decision Rendered at USD!!! Please be good news please be good news...

3/1/12 - Boom. In at USD! Admitted students login beat the snail mail packet to my inbox. Batting 1.000 so far.

4/2/12 - Decision Rendered at LLS. Do not have high hopes for whatever reason. At least the letter should arrive quickly.

4/4/12 - WL at Loyola. Meh.

4/17/12 - Submitted my first seat deposit at USD over the weekend. Would still like to hear from Chapman, but will be withdrawing from the waitlist at Loyola. I'll update with full numbers and a little more detail over the next week or so.

5/17/12 - Real numbers up. Had my heart set on San Diego as soon as the acceptance letter came in. After working out some complicated details it's really going to happen. Very excited for the next three years!

6/15/12 - Checked my mail for the first time in a few days to see an acceptance package from Chapman with an 80% scholarship, renewable with a 3.0 (roughly top third?). I may try to negotiate that stipulation away.

6/22/12 - Chapman upped their offer to essentially a full ride. I really liked the school and am not 100% going to USD anymore. We'll see what happens.

7/9/12 - Withdrew from Chapman. Great offer, but the opportunity to be in San Diego made much more sense for where I'm at in life. USD here I come!

Hey we have similar #s (based off your LSDAS GPA). I'm assuming u applied to USD FT? Or did you go PT? I was wondering if there would be any movement for PT applicants this early in the year. I really don't want to wait until May! Good luck!
