Extra Curricular Information

I think honesty and clarity are important for this site to be helpful, so hopefully my full and honest profile will help others applying to law school. Ask me if you want any more information.

Very involved in intercollegiate debate, with awards , leadership positions, and such.

I play four musical instruments, although my involvement in music has waned over the last few years.

Interned at a DA's office last summer.

Additional info & updates

All my apps except for Stanford's were sent in at basically the same time. The complete dates for Gtown and Duke are guesses, but are probably accurate within a few days, and you can infer that all the others went complete at about the same time.

I'm a California resident (although I don't think this means much for my applications).

11/2- In at Gtown!

11/13- In at Duke!

12/3- Decision Mailed at Vandy. Interviewed on 12/1.

12/12- In at Michigan via admitted students website! This was one of my top choices going in, so I'm especially excited about this one.

12/18- In at UChicago ED via phone call! Ann Perry, you rock! Cycle over, obviously.

Can't wait to meet my future classmates!

congrats on those! our app cycles are pretty in sync so far. i think your (/our) numbers are at/right above michigan's median LSAT/GPA, respectively, so yay :) i don't think my softs are anything fabulous... i didn't do terribly much (/anything) in undergrad, nor have anything legal-related elsewhere, so who knows.

Thanks!

Appreciate the kind words, and yes, we're remarkably similar applicants. Sort of surprising we never debated at NPTE or NPDA nationals, all things considered. I almost ED'd to Chicago as well, but decided against at the last minute. Good luck with it and everywhere else!

Yeah, I wonder who else from NPDA applied to GTown, I bet Dean Cornblatt has seen a few similar files cross his desk. Honestly, your 169 ED gives you a better shot than my 170 RD. We're both below median, and you're a guaranteed enrollee if they take you. Hopefully it works out for both of us, though, since I love Chicago.

Good job

Congrats, I got accepted to Gtown today too. Looks like we'll both be anticipating hearing from Chicago by the end of the month!

Thanks!

It's been an incredibly good week. I'm really hoping that I didn't use up all of my good juju with these 3 recent acceptances. I'm hopeful about Stanford and Chicago; I actually think I have a better chance at S than Columbia, since my LSAT is so very low for the latter. Chicago ED should come back in a couple of weeks, no? I'm really pulling for you!

Yeah buddy!

CYCLE OVER! So excited for you, good luck at UC next year! Now we just need Smitty to get a big acceptance and the NPDA will be sweeping.

Congratulations

Good for you man. I haven't heard a thing yet, so send some good thoughts my way please.

I saw him on TLS, but I can't remember. If it was him, he's going to have a great cycle. So many of those Berkeley folk are at Harvard (Dorsi, Elizabeth, Brugato), so I hope he winds up somewhere great too.
