Additional info & updates

Applied during 2009 cycle; Retook LSAT and currently reapplying for 2010 cycle.

10/16/09: Received LSAT score -- 171! A few points under my top practice test score, but I'm VERY happy!

10/19/09: Not wasting any time -- got my first application out (Duke). Interestingly enough, I got a fee waiver when paying.

10/20/09: Got an email from Duke notifying me of priority track and fee waiver! Great news, and pretty funny that I just so happened to apply a few hours before getting this email (but still received the fee waiver). Also got a fee waiver email from UVA.

10/30/09: "Priority Reserve" at Duke.

11/21/09: Accepted at Georgetown! Decision rendered via status checker on 11/16, acceptance letter with a nice personal note from Dean Cornblatt arrived on 11/21.

12/03/09: Accepted at Fordham via email and status checker. It's an especially good feeling because I was waitlisted and ultimately rejected last year. Amazing how much retaking the LSAT can do for you.

12/08/09: Accepted at Cornell via status checker and subsequent letter; letter dated 12/08. Feels great to be accepted at an Ivy League school.

12/22/09: Received a $20,000/yr scholarship at Fordham!

1/24/09: Haven't updated this in awhile. Got waitlisted at Penn, which was pretty upsetting. In w/ full scholarship at Cardozo. Pretty amazing since last year I was waitlisted>accepted to the summer program with no $. Also got accepted to GW without any mention of scholarship. Great school but disappointed about the lack of $.

Good luck with the applications. I am sure you will get an acceptance from Duke soon. Do you have a top choice?
