Extra Curricular Information

Summary: Honestly, I wouldve waitlisted me too. After further reflection, I recognize weak or confusing parts of my application. Plus, softs talk but numbers scream. My numbers just werent there for a lot of these schools. Overall, I am thrilled to be admitted to several of my dream schools.

Veteran status: Respectable 5 years of service, nothing special.

LSAT: 152 / 165 / 163 / 167 / 169

GPA: 3.6 declined to 3.3ish across last three semesters. Averaged 20 credit hours during last three semesters because of a semester abroad during which I received few credit hours. I didnt make a addendum explaining the decline.

Personal statement: Definitely B+ work. A well written story about leading on a deployment. It sold well at lower ranked schools. T-6 clearly wanted to see a synthesis of how I would use my experience to succeed in law, serve the community, etc. Poor decision that didnt open many doors for me.

Diversity statement: Low SES, first generation service. It may have come off as obtuse, disjointed, or scatterbrained, depending on the reader. It didnt advance my case.

But alas not now
so you persist
our class is full
for you, the waitlist
