After my undergraduate education, I worked for one year at a non-profit, which gave me the idea of possibly pursuing a law degree. After much research I realized that becoming a legal advocate was the best way for me to become self-actualized. Since I would also like to transition into politics, it would behoove me to earn a legal education.

Additional info & updates

This is technically my 3rd application cycle, mainly because I was too stubborn to properly prepare for the LSAT. However this cycle ends, I hope it will provide someone else with the motivation to keep pushing to reach their goal.

Oct. 30th, 2012-Due to Hurricane Sandy, the LSAT scores still haven't been released. Though I have come to grips with the fact that the scores will be released by Thursday, it still would have been nice to start sending these application out.

Nov. 1st, 2012-LSAT score is in and I am slightly disappointed, but to go from a 136 to a 148 is always a good thing

Feb. 7th, 2013- So far I have received acceptances to Howard Law and UDC, and was just informed that I was wait listed at UMD; which is still a top 50 law school. I may just send in a seat deposit to Howard, but still hold out on UMD since I'm a MD resident.

March 5th, 2013- Well I received a rejection from the University of Baltimore last week. Strangely enough, I was admitted into better schools. No worries though. 3 out of 4 isn't too bad.

Great job of sticking to it and improving your LSAT. That's great motivation. Best of luck, especially at UDC.

Thanks kimbo3000. I have a few more schools to hear back from in TX, then I'll know if I'll be headed to UDC or not. Not that you'll need it, you'll probably get admitted any day now, but I'll shoot you a note when/if I withdraw from UDC. I have to respond to UDC by Apr 1st or lose the seat.

Congrats on Howard! Do you know when Open House is?

Great to see you didn't even need the UDC seat; congrats on Howard and continued best of luck at UMD.
