Re: considering usd law

lawvanny, The primary reason I did not apply to San Diego was the ridiculous cost of living in the San Diego area. If you ever want to own a home soon after law school, San Diego is definitely not the place to be. Also, I went to San Diego for undergrad, so I am familiar with their facilities and career services, which I found to be lacking. While the campus is probably one of the most beautiful in the nation, the school is small and the resources are limited (law library, fulltime professors). Finally, San Diego is a market flooded with attorneys because there are 3 law schools in the area (California Western, Thomas Jefferson and San Diego). Since these are not necessarily top tier schools, the prospects of big law employment are very slim. As a result, many attorneys become sole practioners or members of small to medium size local firms. Ultimately, it was these factors that led me to apply to schools other than San Diego. I hope this helps. P.S. - I second annodduck's recommendation that you post your information.
