I applied to so many schools since I honestly don't know which school I want to go to, so I rather wait and see where I get in and then choose. The numbers next to the schools are my rankings for the schools I have gotten into.

02/07 - phone call from Loyola Chicago; for those who have asked, I did not write the "Why Loyola?" essay.

02/08 - phone rings and caller ID shows Alabama area code, so as I figured it was Alabama; Tulane accepetance via email.

02/09 - in at UW-Madison via snail mail, in a small envelope

02/13 - email from uMiami inviting me to apply. Nevermind the fact I was admitted five weeks ago!

02/20 - in at Wake Forest, dated 2/15

02/27 - on hold at uChicago and WL at Vandy. I'm definitley not upset. I was expected rejections to both.

03/02 - in at Pittsburgh. Letter dated 02/21. Shows how slow my campus mail is! Nice hand-written note referring to my PS on the bottom.

03/05 - WL @ GW. Not very dissapointed because I'd go to Fordham over it. Though it is where my parents want me to go (they're paying, so they have say), so I'll stay on the WL and see what happens. I'll probably make a visit in April. The letter implies that they are planning to take a more than usual amount of people off the waitlist, since they overnerolled last year and are playing it safer this cycle.

03/06 - out at UT, no surprise there, so not dissapointed. $12k from Pitt is nice, but won't convince me to go.

03/08 - I've ranked the schools i have heard from, in order of preference for me right now. This order might change often. Those without a number I've pretty much ruled out attending.

03/15 - rejected from UC-Berkely (snail to permanent address) and Northwestern (e-mail). But WHO CARES??!? I GOT INTO USC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

03/19 - out at UVa, as expected. Not dissapointed at all, I know I tried.

03/21 - $15k/yr at Emory. Not sure if thats enough to make me go over USC, but it's back into serious consideration.

03/25 - W&L rejection supports my theory that I got into USC by accident.

03/29 - Cornell rejection makes me happy because if by miracle I had gotten in, it would be a tough choice between Cornell and USC I would not have wanted to make. W&M waitlist - withdrawing. Rural Virginia just doesn't want me!

Also sent out my withdrawls to Tulane and Loyola Los Angeles. Many more Ws will be sent in the coming two weeks.

04/10 - Out at Illinois after hold; WL at UNC (will not stay on). A little surprised about the UNC waitlist, because I submitted the same personal statement that I gave to everyone else. I didn't modify it for their prompts, so I was expecting a rejection. Only three more schools left to hear from, along with hearing back from Chicago's hold.

04/14 - USC gave me $10k a year...um...wow.

04/18 - withdrawn by e-mail to everywhere except Fordham (did submit desposit), UF, USC, UW. Will withdraw to UF and UW soon. Staying on GW and Vandy waitlists. Still waiting for uChicago deferral and three more schools.

04/24 - WL at Chicago. I am not dissapointed. I will stay on it...time to write another one of their essays! I will attend Chicago if offered admission, no questions asked.

06/12 - Waitlisted at BU more than seven months later. Odd, hand-written envelope. Makes me think they forgot about me.
