After I emailed Michigan to withdraw from their waitlist, they kindly replied by letting me know that I was rejected anyway. How's that for waitlist torture?

My wife and I visited Emory this weekend and are very excited about Atlanta! The area is beautiful and the school facilities look modern and comfortable.

Finally some good news. Emory offered a 60K merit scholarship. Atlanta looks increasingly likely given the lack of movement on the waitlists.
