Extra Curricular Information

I had planned on attending graduate school out of undergrad for a MPA but changed my mind when I was offered a position as the assistant to a very high level political figure. I grew restless in that position and moved to a state agency focused on economic development. During this whole time, I have come to realization that I want to pursue my law degree.

This will be my first go around in doing applications... I wish everyone the best of luck!

Additional info & updates

11/30/09 - I received an acceptance from Santa Clara. I was not expecting them to reply so soon. I've heard nothing but great things about the school so I am excited for the initial acceptance.

12/1/09 - Stetson status checker went to "decision made on file" so I should be hearing something any day. It looks like other applicants have seen the same thing on their files.

12/2/09 - Crazy pumped. In at Kentucky.

12/7/09 - Called admissions lady at Stetson who said I should be happy with my response from the school so I am assuming that means I am in. I also received a phone call from Akron... always nice to have that personal touch.

12/19/09 - In the last couple of weeks I have received an acceptance from Pittsburgh, Denver, and St. Thomas, which is still too expensive to consider at 20k a year. Hopefully, I will be able to qualify for more in the future.

1/19/10 - I sent in an official letter withdrawing from Santa Clara and Akron today. I still love Santa Clara, but with getting married soon I wouldn't want to take my fiancee so far away from her family and friends. Hopefully this will give someone else a good shot.

Thanks for the luck! In Florida, it seems that Stetson is looked upon in higher regards than you would expect a Tier 3 school to be. Also, I believe they recently built a newer campus, so the facilities would be nice and new. It seems to be a solid choice for those wishing to practice in the area. Good luck with your cycle!

Thanks! Yours will come soon!! I received the Cincinnati acceptance via email yesterday morning. The email said a letter from a professor with more details would be sent out a few days later. I think with our numbers, not only will you get in, I think we may even, hopefully, snag a small scholarship (knock on wood)?
