Honestly, I think that what has set me apart from others with similar numbers is a personal statement that was very much from the heart. The best advice I can give to future applicants is to make sure that you write with sincerity and a constant awareness of how well you're distinguishing yourself from other applicants. I would also recommend making it clear that you know why you want to go to law school.

if you have heard further from Boalt. i called them for a different question, and leanred in passing that "further review" thing was over as of Mar. 22nd. so answers should be on the way...
