I should be getting my application sent off slightly after New Years. I hope this isn't too late to affect my chances at the top-tier schools, but I should have some quality options either way.

1/29/09 - All my applications are sent, with at least two letters attached. I wish I would have gotten them out sooner, but I feel good that I put the best possible application package together. Now it is wait and see time.

2/4/09 - All schools have complete applications and reports with all 3 LORs in their possession. Hopefully I will go complete quickly so I don't get left behind before the majority of admissions slots are decided.

2/10/09 - Rejected @ Northwestern. That was fast! Disappointed to start off the cycle with a rejection, but I never felt great about NW because I am straight out of undergrad, didn't do an interview and didn't write their optional essay.

2/23/09 - Rejected @ UC Berkeley. I really am OK with this one because I prefer going to the east coast, but I do want to get an admit under my belt soon so I know I will be going somewhere (I'm looking at you Georgetown!). I'm not worried yet, but I hope something wasn't off with my application; otherwise this could get depressing really fast...

2/27/09 - Accepted @ GULC via admitted students site. Its a great feeling to have my first acceptance, and at a T-14 to boot! Maybe this will take some of the pressure off waiting for other schools...

2/28-09 - Waitlisted @ UVA. Major bummer. I really like UVA. Hopefully I will be offered admission at a later date...

3/9/09 - Accepted @ UCLA via phone call. Quite a shock because I didn't even know I was complete there. Also offered $60,000 over three years. Hopefully this is a barometer of how much I'll get at other schools...

Also got the GULC packet in the mail today. Hopefully I will hear about finances from them soon as well.
