Numbers are correct.

In via phone call from Ann Perry. If you see that (773) area code, make sure you have a pen. She had information on the admitted student site, paperwork that is due by January, and other information which I was too in shock to really hear.

I feel like I won the lottery.

In at Minnesota by phone call. Loved hearing 'ya know' on my voicemail.

Two days of anxiety end with an acceptance in a small, cream-colored envelope with a written note from Dean Andrew Cornblatt alluding to things discussed in my personal statement - meaning my application was actually read in its entirety despite having exactly median numbers. His handwriting made me feel a lot better about my own.

All of my stress evaporated with this acceptance. I would LOVE to go to Georgetown - even above some higher ranked public schools. Sixteen years is more than enough public schooling for me.

And I wouldn't mind going back to DC. Any other good news is icing at this point.

Sitting on one acceptance makes waiting for a decision from Chicago a lot easier. A call from Dean Perry would make my holiday. Let's hope there's truth to the theory of a "self-selection" advantage in their ED pool. I'm expecting my abysmal undergrad institution and consequently mediocre GPA to kill my chances of locating to Hyde Park in September.

Georgetown Status Check reads "Decision." [Ominous music]
