Hofstra's Status Checker went blank on 2-25-09... waiting.

3-2-09 First Acceptance -- Hofstra!!! Thank God I am starting law school this fall! I am impressed with how fast they work, 12 days from submittal to acceptance. I wish every school could be like Hofstra in that respect.

3-6-09 Nothing special, just info to apply for scholarships from St.Johns.

3-27-09 I really want to hear from St. Johns. I know others have been waiting much longer, but I feel like pulling my hair out! Every day I get home from work and check the mail but nothing. I am at work, but not working because I am so distracted by this whole process.

3-31-09 I mustered the courage to call St. Johns today... not sure why I did that... the admissions counselor said "ugh... you just applied" I thought, oh God, I hope she is not the one making a decision on my file.

4-02-09 Accepted at NYLS via snail mail regular envelope

04-03-09 Hofstra's seat deposit deadline is approaching fast and I haven't heard from St. Johhs. Not sure what to do. Ugggggh!!

Hofstra vs NYLS

Hey, As your fellow PT applicant I just withdrew from Hofstra and sent in the deposit to NYLS. For me this is about location, convenience and facilities and NYLS definitely has everything that I need. I am still pending at St. John's and unless SJ comes thru with an offer I am NYLS bound. Have you visited open houses at both institutions? That might help a bit in picking the winner, I think. GLuck!
