Additional info & updates

Withdrew from all of the schools after receiving financial aid offers that paled in comparison to Chicago's.

I probably could have bargained using Chicago's offer, but I didn't bother. I had no desire to continue to live in NYC, so I didn't ask NYU or Columbia to match. I withdrew from NYU before receiving financial aid info because I was too lazy to fill out the form and no amount of money could make me subject myself to another three years there. I never received any financial aid determination (not even a note that said "all loans for you, sucker!") from Penn because either their admissions or financial aid office is incompetent.

Wow, well, I guess with Cornell's offer you won't have to love Chicago/leave New York after all! Congrats!

I'm still waiting (hopefully) on a scholarship letter from Cornell. Did you get info on merit and need based aid in your letter or just merit based?
