01/04/2011--------------------------
Decided to add my profile so I wouldn't be leeching off the community.

As for the large list of schools (19!) well it is hard to figure out exactly where I can get in given that I a reasonably high LSAT, very low GPA, but am in a non-standard major (Mech. E.) at a top school.

So far, two acceptances (WUSTL, American), 1 waitlist (Fordham). We'll see how the rest goes...

01/24/2011---------------------------
As you can see I picked up a couple of rejections and another acceptance (GW). Right now GW is the top choice (I'd prefer to be in DC over STL) but there's plenty more to hear from.

02/07/2011--------------------------
Just got the word from WUSTL that they're offering me $75k! That's really tempting especially if GW doesn't offer anything and I don't hear positive from any of the top top choices.

2/18/2011----------------------------
Rejections are starting to pile up. Not that they weren't expected but still.... Also, there seems to be a glitch in which when I try to put down the day on which I received the decision, the website instead fills in the completion date. So, if anyone was curious, all the dates that I've listed are the dates on which I found out the decision, I completed all the applications in mid-November except for Berkeley and NYU which I completed during the first week of December.

Wow. Today turned into a full-scale massacre with UCLA waitlisting, BU waitlisting, Columbia rejecting, and Michigan rejecting.

The engineering major is a huge advantage over me though... I think I'm really just crossing my fingers for Hastings or USC... I'm from CA and I want to practice here so it looks to me like I should sacrifice a little rankings action (in Hastings' case) for a school that caters to my career goals. I might even retake and raise my gpa with CC classes and reapply if I don't get in... Still tempted by GW, WUSTL or my money at Bama though. Good luck with the rest of your cycle!

Dude looks like Emory felt quite differently about our applications. (In contrast with WUSTL who seems to think we're the same kind of candidate.) Congrats on the acceptance. Are you considering Emory over WUSTL now?

I think you def made a good choice with GW. It's where I would have gone if I didn't decide to retake and reapply next year. Good luck!
