thanks! hmm I think that strong letters of rec definitely helped a lot. Other than that, I think that Yale really looks for people who truly seem to have intrinsic passions (as opposed to going to law school "just because" or b/c of job stability, earning lots of money, etc.) and pursue those interests with varied and relevant experiences. My numbers are on the low end of the spectrum, so I feel that my strongest selling points were my essays and eclectic transcript. It is most definitely true that Yale has a very holistic admissions process that doesn't necessarily equate hard numbers to probability of admissions.
