Merit Scholarship
Friday, June 15 2007 at 08:00 PM

quegg500, Hello and yes, the name on the scholarship from GW was a Presidential Merit Scholarship. As I understand it, if you are accepted ED you are automatically guaranteed that scholarship (for a higher amount than I was given.) As it turns out, one can still qualify for the scholarship depending on GW's preferences. Initially, I was awarded a scholarship in the 20s per year and a first-year housing stipend. As time wore on, I was given the additional amount as an inducement to attend GW. I hope that helps. Let me know if you want any of the particulars. I believe I still have the letter.
