Additional info & updates

5/5/11 - Today I received an e-mail from Cornell informing me that I'd been placed on reserve. Thanks for taking three months to YP me guys. Withdrew immediately. Cycle complete.

4/20/11 - After two trips to Manhattan and many hours of deliberation I have decided to attend Columbia in the fall.

4/15/11 - Dinged at Harvard. Not unexpected, but still painful given that it's my top choice. Now I get to spend the rest of the day wishing I kept my GPA up...

3/28/11 - In at Columbia via e-mail. Awesome! Barring a miraculous acceptance to HLS I'll be choosing between CLS and NYU.

3/24/11 - Rejected at Chicago. Sort of unexpected since I'm around the GPA median and above the 75th for LSAT. Oh well. I was already pretty set on going to one of the two New York schools.

3/18/11 - Waitlisted at Michigan.

3/7/11 - Waitlisted at UVA. Pretty much what I expected.

2/28/11 - Into NYU minutes after Georgetown WL. Awesome.

2/28/11 - Waitlisted at Georgetown. Hopefully a YP resulting from my late non-tailored app.

2/13/11 - Placed on a "Priority Reserve List" at Duke, whatever that means. I'm hoping this is a yield protect and not a sign that there's something horribly wrong with my application.

2/2/11 - Apps are finally out. I was pleasantly surprised to find a hidden CLS fee waiver while applying. Hopefully I haven't killed my chances by applying so late. There's always next year I suppose...

1/6/11 - December LSAT scores are back. I only went up a point, which is sort of disappointing. I know I'm capable of better but that's what I'll be applying with. Now it's time to get all my stuff together and send it in.

12/11/10 - Just walked out of the December LSAT. LG was killer. I don't know whether or not to cancel. A point or two difference in either direction from my original score could make or break me. Given the high number of questions and brutal LG I think I'll hope for a good curve and see what I get...

11/30/10 - I feel like it's about time for an update. I'll be taking the December LSAT's in a little under two weeks. I haven't been able to devote nearly as much time to prepping as I'd initially hoped, but I think I should be able to bump up my score a bit. I've been working on securing letters of rec. and writing a personal statement. I'll be applying pretty late in the cycle but hopefully a higher LSAT and GPA will make up for that.

10/29/10 - October LSAT's just came in. I'm reasonably happy with the results. I got a 172 by cramming for two weeks, now I want to see what I can get by prepping hard for the next six. With my luck I'll go down, but it's worth trying.

10/20/10 - I'm waiting on October LSAT scores. I had been scoring pretty well on prep tests, but I was slow on the games section so I might be a bit below my average. I'll almost certainly retake in December.

Thanks for the input! Congrats on your October score! A 172 is nothing to look down on. I'll probably end up retaking too, right now the only thing that's stopping me is the fact that I'll be waiting so much longer. Anyways, best of luck!
