Additional info & updates

March 9: "Accepted" into Campbell's PBAP (wtf?) I am not putting accepted under Campbell since its not really an "acceptance" rather more like a waitlist

March 12: American - Waitlisted

March 16: George Mason - Rejected

May: Accepted to Howard, Syracuse

May: Case Western Rejected

May: Dropped from American's waitlist

March 26: William & Mary - Rejected

Need to confirm for Campbell's PBAP program by April 1st so if I don't get any big FAT envelopes by then I will have to write the $100 check to reserve my spot (then another $3,000) to spent the summer learning me some law before the real thing.

March 28 Called WFU about status of application. They said that a decision has been made and that they will be in the mail and I will get it in a few weeks. I don't have few weeks. I am pretty sure that I am either rejected or waitlisted byt hope rises eternal and I relly need to hold the rejection letter in my hand to be sure. I don't have a few weeks as I have to post the PBAP for Campbell by April 1st. I asked if I could come and pick it up since they won't inform me over the phone, but they said no. So, wait I must.

March 29: Rejected by U of Richmond
Me thinks more safety schools on my list would've been a smart-er thang to do. Changed my ranking of schools to better reflect the responses I've recieved so far.

April 9: Rejected by my first choice WFU
It didn't hurt as much as I thought it will...I've been expecting it. Just finally glad to have the confirmation.

April 14 Rejected by GWU

April 18 Rejected by Maryland

April 23 Rejected by Tulane

April 24 Rejected by Illinois

May 7 No-strings-attached acceptance by Howard

Update: I am off to Howard Law for Fall.

Like you, I'm trying to wait until the last possible moment to send the deposit to Campbell. I'm still waiting on three schools, all of which are my top choices, but I'm not holding my breath for Richmond or UNC, I applied knowing they were reach schools, but I had to try. I am actually holding out for NC Central. If all of those fall through I will definetely do the PBAP at Campbell. They are a really good law school with a good reputation in NC. I hate this waiting. Good luck w/ the rest of your apps and who knows, we might see each other at campbell. Take care.

I went ahead and threw away my hundred bucks:) As far as I know its very challenging but that is bc the law school itself is challenging. You have to keep a B average to even stay in the school. I am still waiting on my other schools before I'll be sure if I"m going to do the program. Like ncsu said....maybe i'll see ya there!

I totally agree...

with you about NCCU. They were my first choice @ one time, but this whole process has really shed them in a bad light. If their law school is anything like their admission's office, then I don't see how they got accredited by the ABA. Good luck w/ the rest of your schools.

Yes I am still doing PBAP at this point. It sucks because I have to quit my job in the law office 3 months earlier and go in debt over the summer. The good part is I really like Campbell and its a great school so I know that I'll actually enjoy the classes I just wish I didn't have to spend money for no credit.

Well i live in Raleigh so I'm going to commute through PBAP, which I know is going to SUCK, but if I end up attending Campbell I am going to move closer, I am just waiting to make sure before I move.
