Additional info & updates

1/17/09 In at U Pacific! $15k/year scholarship honors entrance program (free books). Notified by email to "check my status" which only said that a decision had been mailed. Then received a large envelope in the mail 3 days later. Happy to be in somewhere:) I was starting to get impatient!

2/4/09 In at Rutgers via email, paperwork to follow! Good day!!!

2/9/09 waitlisted at American. Not very surprising I guess.

2/13/09 AHH! Call from Cardozo (assistant dean) saying I'm in for May PT program!!! What am I going to do??? Anyone ever heard of them letting you switch from the May program to January? Doubtful.

2/14/09 In at NYLS- $30,000 renewable scholarship/year, came in a small envelope. Money looks good... and I already work in Tribeca! I love this area...

2/17/09 in at St. John's! $15k/year renewable:) came in a small envelope. Need to visit.

If anyone reads this, I'm really curious as to any negative feedback on Rutgers Newark. So far, I've only heard really good things about the school and would be curious to hear other thoughts if anyone has them.

Also, what do people think about Cardozo May Entry vs. Rutgers Newark?

Good luck to everyone!

2/24 Kind of just waiting to hear back from Brooklyn before making my final decision. I know it's a reach, but it's a great school and so close to where I already live. A girl can dream. Most likely I will (happily) be going to Rutgers:)... and that means moving to Jersey!

3/24 Visited McGeorge and Santa Clara this past weekend. Liked them both a lot. Family circumstances might be pulling me to Cali, so we'll see what happens.
"deferred"/waitlisted at Brooklyn for 2nd review...

5/14/09 Well, I received an email from the Dean of Admissions at Brooklyn Law today.... and he informed me that there is a spot open in the full-time program if I want it! I haven't responded yet, but considering the fact that I already live in Brooklyn, I'm thinking of going there. It's a great school:)

**Going to Brooklyn! Got off waitlist as a full-time student, but then asked to switch to part-time so I could continue working! Only way to justify the tuition... :) **
Best of luck everyone! I'm so glad this part of the process is over!!!!

You will have no problems with Rutgers and Seton Hall, and I like your chances for the others. I can say nothing but good things about RN from my experiences. Seton Hall will be able to give a large scholarship, but remember that Rutgers Law (at least as of right now-- I'm a 1L) gives in state tuition as long as you actively live in NJ (meaning you can move here to start school and get instate tuition as 1L). Good luck with everything.

Good luck

Ideally, Id like to move to New York and go to law school in the NYC area. However, if Georgetown gives me the nod, I would have no choice but to accept. I have not visited University of the Pacific as it is in Northern California, a good 6 hours from me. Best of luck on your apps!

Hi there! Congrats on all of your acceptances...I've also been accepted to the May Cardozo program. I've heard it makes the first year a lot easier, but the thought of starting in May doesn't thrill me. What are the chances you'll end up there?

Oh boy, do I know what you mean about the tough decision! It looks like I'll be choosing between NYC and FL...not an easy choice since I'm from FL and the schools here are significantly less $$$. But...I've always loved NYC. Starting two weeks after graduation makes me uneasy, but I feel it may pay off in the long run with a lighter course load (at least, that's what I keep telling myself). Good luck with your decision and let me know if you decide Cardozo :)

let's talk cardozo may

haha. your thoughts? We look like some of the only little green dots with our numbers, so I feel like we may be in the same boat in some ways, except at least you already live in nyc. Have you done much research on the program? Let me know, and thanks!
