Extra Curricular Information

Only took the LSAT once. Did not match my PT scores at all, but decided to take the plunge with what I have. [Numbers somewhat off, but they get a general picture of my situation across.]

Epic work, plenty of awards, unique background (outside of being a URM, I mean).

Ranking is based on personal preference.

Additional info & updates

I didn't apply to many schools. I had planned to apply to more T-14 schools if I didn't hear anything by mid-January. Fortunately, NYU, a top choice, got back to me early, so I decided not to apply elsewhere.

12/11: In at Fordham (safety).

12/17: Deferred at Columbia. Will be reviewed again in late March.

1/12: Got into NYU. Amazing.

Waitlisted by Penn the same day. Maybe because I didn't write a 'Why Penn?' essay? :P

1/17: Withdrew from Fordham and Penn.

1/20: Email from Harvard. My application has been "held."

2/17: Invited to interview for RTK at NYU.

3/27: RTK Interview.

3/29: Email from Yale saying that I would either be admitted or waitlisted. Holy crap.

4/15: Waitlisted at Yale. I am not giving up, YLS...

4/17: Waitlisted at Harvard. Withdrew immediately.

4/19: In at Columbia. That took so long that I almost forgot this was still an option. Still cool.

4/28: Deposited at Columbia.

As a PI person, I had almost been trained to think I must go to NYU, but I ended up liking Columbia more and I DO think that I'll have an abundance of opportunities in PI at CLS.

4/30: Withdrew from NYU. No regrets.
