The letter I wrote is highly risky and/or pretty close to borderline stupid; I'll let it speak for itself: To the admissions committee: Im writing to reconfirm my desire to be a member of the class of 2016. The law school wait listthe limbo of the admissions process where one is stuck in a conga line without getting any closer to the bar (pun intended)is indeed a limbo, though it is the other type of limbo. But what is the time spent in limbo like? Some would say it is similar to the calamitous affair of attending my annual family reunion in which there is always the royal tournament to determine the king and queen of one upmanship; and to this day, there hasnt been a winner despite numerous holy canons proclaiming two rightful heirs to the throne by Pope Vino III, maybe its IV Or V, I lose track after the second. But to me (joking now aside), its a time to demonstrate parts of myself that resonate perfectly with your mission of having a diverse body and a student that embodies excellence in scholarship, character, and commitment to community. If we hold the assumption that the most varied experience brings a diverse experience, which creates the best learning atmosphere, to be true, then I do not understand how I would not be able to contribute to such an amazing atmosphere since I worked with Roma in two Eastern-European countries, rural African-Americans in Hazen, AR, led outreach programs in Tennessee and Mexico, a Libertarian Orthodox Christian who went from a public middle school to a private Conservative all-boys Catholic high school in Illinois to a Liberal Episcopalian university in Tennessee, small-business owner, movie script writer (currently, I am in discussions with Water Cooler Productions to produce a second movie of mine), college journalist, and a researcher who conducted research with two professors. I should go on, but I have no desire in becoming the king of one upsmanship during this years admission process. Lastly, there is a concern about my intellectual ability. My LSAT (158) is in the 75th percentile of the class of 2010 (according to lawschoolnumbers.com and top-law-schools.com), which places me in a range demonstrated by current students and alumni, and if needed, I have no trouble raising my LSAT score. Now lies the major concern of my undergrad G.P.A. It is what it is and is something I can never change. In these type of situations, it is best to look at my history to see if I have proven my excellence in intellectual ability by having a high G.P.A in an academically rigorous institution: I had a 3.525 G.P.A in high schoolits in my very nature to bounce back to even higher levels after a set back. My setback in this case, was my undergrad G.P.A, and my G.P.A in law school will absolutely not be an exception that goes against my natureI dont need a papal bull by Pope Vino III to decree the veracity of my nature. All you have is my word, and coming from a place where I had the most difficulty expressing a single thought on paper made me realize the importance of my written wordyou have my word that I will maintain a 3.0 G.P.A and be a great contribution to the class of 2016. Best Always, _______________________________________________ Miki Kotevski
