(12-10-08) BYU app status checker states that it is under review. I am really hoping that I get in there at least. Time will tell...

(12-26-08) Merry Christmas! Indiana sent an acceptance and a scholarship offer, if I retain a 3.2 GPA. Its $15K per year, which covers the out of state, I guess. Either way, its good to know that I've been accepted somewhere, and so soon. That definitely is a step in the right direction!

(1-20-09) Received waitlist letter from CU-Boulder last week and "on hold" email from Cardozo today. Not going to follow up with Cardozo, as it was mostly for the fee waiver anyway...CU-Boulder is doing some odd things this cycle...

(1-23-09) Letter from UC Hastings, inviting me to submit the financial aid information and apply for housing sooner than later. Simple white envelope, but great news!

(2-1-09) Rejected by Notre Dame. Kind of a relief to be able to narrow the choices. Got an email from Cornell stating that my application is now complete, even though all the material was sent in November. I have a feeling I have been lumped in with the other "less attractive candidates." Still curious to hear from them though.

(2-12-09) Jake asked why I think I was rejected from ND. Probably because I didn't write the specific "Why ND" essay. That seems to be the key to the other acceptances. In all honesty, ND wasn't my top choice, and I think the adcomm was smart enough to recognize that. A big plus 1 for them.

(2-28-09) Negativo on the ol' Cornell. This was a huge shock...wait, no, I was expecting it. That's alright though, it was fun to think about Ithaca for a little while. Rejected or Accepted, it is so much better to know.

(3-6-09) My in-laws say that they know some people in San Fran that could get me a good deal on rent there. I think that would have to happen for me to choose Hastings over a scholy at IU-B. I am really examining the decision based on ending debt, as the schools seem to be otherwise evenly matched.

(3-14-09) Bye bye Stanford. Now just waiting to hear back from Provo before I make the decision.

(3-31-09) WL at the Y. I confirmed that I wished to remain on the WL, but IUB needed a decision by 4/1, so I accepted and am planning on attending. Go Hoosiers!

(7-10-09) Received a call from UC-Boulder. They were asking if I was interested, which I am. I am getting very hopeful about this, but looks like they were just checking in. I have 2 brothers that live in the greater Denver area, so that sounds very enticing.

(7-13-09) I applied to Notre Dame because its a great school. A lot of my good friends are Catholic. Amazingly enough, the Catholics aren't as scary as people think. Plus, I don't think I have to change religions to go to law school...at least I hope not!

(7-22-09) Was about to wd from Indy-B for Colorado, and they upped my scholarship to $25K/year. I asked Colorado if they would even try at all for any scholarship $$ and they said they were plum out. Goodbye Boulder, Hello Bloomington!!

(7-24-09) Ok, BYU accepted me yesterday via phone call from DH. On to Provo!
