4/18/07 - Finally got my completion notice from Loyola, Holly crap that took a while. Not really happy with them right now.

5/24/07 - I spoke to admissions at Loyola today and they said they were trying to get all of their admissions decisions made by the end of this month. They will be working on the waitlist after that. Southwestern said something similar but they also said they may accept people up until the week before classes start. Both said that their online application status boards are up to date and will be kept up to date on a day by day basis.

5/31/07 - And yet still no response :-( I'm going freaking crazy waiting for a response!!! Are my numbers really so bad? Were my applications really that late? I've got tons of freaking life experience. Common guys, show me some love! I'm too old for this kind of anxiety, my heart could go at any moment. Oh no, I think this is it, I think this is the big one! You hear that, Elizabeth? I'm coming to join you, honey!

6/4/07 - So I got a letter from WSU on Friday promising me lots of money if I apply and attend their school. The deadline has passed but they are willing to accept my app late and waive the app fee. I'm so uncertain at this point that I went ahead and submitted my app with only minor changes to my personal statement which I submitted to SWLaw. Worst thing that happens at this point is I don't get in to Loyola or SW and go to WSU for a year and then transfer to another school based on academic performance (which I'm pretty sure will be a very strong showing for me). Still, I'm concerned that a part time transfer student may not garner me the respect I think I'll need in order to practice with the big boys. The Morrison Foersters of the world may not see me as big firm material. Oh well, thats not really why I'm getting into law anyway, just sort of a fantasy (that someone will pay me lots of money to do pro bono work)

6/9/07 - Got the nod from SW finally!!! Big white envelope with letter inside. The website didn't update until the day I got the letter so I was a bit confused.

6/14/07 - Waitlisted at Loyola. Small business envelope. The website status was updated today and I got the letter today. Feeling a bit down but I'll still hang out on the waitlist.
